The Virtual Research Center for Bioinformatics and Biotechnology (VRCBB) is an independent research center established in 2024 under the auspices of Jalan Tengah (Number: AHU-0040628-AH.01.14, 2023). Our members include leading scientists, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of bioinformatics and biotechnology. At VRCBB, we are dedicated to advancing the frontiers of science through innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration in these fields. Our mission is to address global challenges, improve human health, and promote sustainability in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Indonesia Emas 2045.
Welcome to the Virtual Research Center for Bioinformatics and Biotechnology (VRCBB). VRCBB was launched in Surabaya, Indonesia, in June 2024. This research center was established by Jalan Tengah and is led by the Founder of Jalan Tengah, Dr. Arif Nur Muhammad Ansori.
VRCBB opens opportunities for students, lecturers, and researchers to develop and conduct research in Indonesia, especially in the fields of bioinformatics and biotechnology. Furthermore, VRCBB has hosted many webinar series (in collaboration with Jalan Tengah), inviting domestic and international researchers from various countries.
VRCBB’s identity is built on global communication with world-class institutions and researchers worldwide, fostering the next generation of researchers in Indonesia. Additionally, VRCBB collaborates with professors and researchers from many countries, such as Japan, Thailand, The Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, India, Russia, Malaysia, The Philippines, and others. As a result, we have successfully published many papers in high-profile journals over the last three years.
We hope that VRCBB will serve as a model research center, pioneering and revolutionizing bioinformatics and biotechnology research in Indonesia.
